How does it work?

Step 1
You send us your contractors contact details.
We contract them and sign them under an employment contract with MACRO.
We send you a back-to-back contract for their services.

Step 2
Each week your contractors send us a timesheet with the hours worked.
We send you an invoice for their services.

Step 3

We pay your contractors via EFT, pay their taxes, supa, workcover, payroll tax and provide them with group certificates. We handle all payroll related enquiries

Step 4
We contact you prior to their contract end asking if you would like to extend.

The payroll management fee does not include payroll tax, which is charged in addition


What about ATO compliance?
MACRO ensures a strong compliance and regulatory component is adhered to in our statutory reporting obligation including those to the ATO for PAYG, Superannuation via our clearing house, Workers Compensation and the relevant Offices of State Revenue. We also ensure compliance with ATO regulations such as Personal Services Income Testing.

Who will be my contact?
We assign you a qualified payroll Management executive that has at least 5 years' experience in payroll. They are supported by senior accountants.  

What happens if my contractor works overtime?
We only charge our fee based on the base rate, not the overtime rate.

Does it matter that MACRO does not have an office in my region?
No. We use phone and email to manage the service.

What happens if I want to employ them as salaried employee?
As we did not locate them through our recruitment services, there is no fee for this.
We'd release them from our contract with you.

What happens if I don't want them anymore?
There is a notice period clause in your contract with us.
You can set this period prior to them starting.

The payroll management fee is 3.5% of the contractor's base hourly rate
